Press Play. The first bar counts you in with four clicks; then ingredient notes fall toward the four bowls at the bottom.
Tap a lane (or press its key) when a note covers its bowl. Each hit plays that note of the song's melody; higher notes are further right.
Long notes trail a ribbon: press when the note arrives and keep holding until the ribbon ends for a stir bonus.
From the fourth recipe, two notes joined by a gold bar are a chord: tap both lanes together.
Hits are judged Perfect, Great or Good, with an early or late hint. Every ten notes in a row raise the score multiplier, up to x4.
Misses, notes let go too early and taps on empty lanes drain the kitchen meter at the top; hits refill it. If it empties, the song stops and you can try again.
Finish a song for one star; 70% accuracy on Easy (75% on Normal) earns two, and 90% (92%) earns three. Stars open the next recipes.
If notes feel early or late, open Timing from the title screen and tap along to the clicks to set your offset.
