Cozy Puzzle
Harvest Grid
A cozy falling crop puzzle about timing: fill a row, watch it ripen, and harvest at the golden moment before the field fills up.
What you do
Harvest Grid is a falling crop puzzle with a farming twist: a full row does not vanish. It stays in the field and keeps ripening, and you choose when to harvest it. Crops grow from sprout to prime in seconds, strawberries fastest and pumpkins slowest. Wait too long and crops rot, and every row you leave standing takes space while the speed climbs. Keep the field clear for a five-minute season and chase three stars.
- Layouts for phones in portrait or landscape and for desktop screens.
How to play
- Move and turn the falling crops, then drop them to fill rows across the field.
- A full row stays in the field and glows gold while its crops keep growing from sprout to prime.
- Harvest a row with the tag at its right end, or use the Harvest button to take every ready row at once for a bonus.
- Prime crops, marked with a star, are worth 40 times a sprout and nearly six times a budding crop. A row where every crop is prime pays double, and so does the market crop.
- Crops rot if you wait too long. Each rotten crop spoils a quarter of its row and makes its neighbors rot sooner.
- Speed rises every 30 seconds. The season lasts five minutes and ends early if a new piece has no room at the top.
Controls
- Touch: drag left or right to move, tap the field to turn, flick down to drop, and tap a row tag or Harvest to harvest.
- Mouse: drag on the field to move, click it to turn, and click a row tag or Harvest to harvest.
- Keyboard: Left and Right arrows or A and D move, Up, W or X turns (Z or Q turns the other way), Down or S drops one row, Space drops, and H or Enter harvests every ready row.
- The toolbar above the field pauses, restarts, mutes, shows this help and goes fullscreen.
Tips worth knowing
- Read the row tags: an up arrow means the row is still ripening, a star means harvest now, and a down arrow means it is spoiling.
- Keep crops that ripen at similar speeds in the same row. A strawberry beside pumpkins will rot before the pumpkins are ready.
- You do not have to drop every piece straight away. Letting a piece fall on its own gives your rows time to ripen.
- Avoid holes. A gap under a row keeps it from filling, and its crops rot where they stand.
- When the field climbs past the middle, harvest your ripest rows early. A full field ends the season.
- Watch the market: the crop it names pays double until the market changes, once a minute.
Accessibility
- The shared toolbar pauses, restarts and shows help. Pausing freezes crop growth and the season clock.
- The whole game can be played with the keyboard once the field has focus, including harvesting with H.
- Row tags are buttons that announce their value and trend, and they change color as well as showing an arrow or star.
- With reduced motion turned on, pulsing, shaking and most particles are switched off.
Questions
How is the score counted?
Each crop scores a share of its base value by stage: 5% as a sprout, 15% growing, 35% budding and 200% at prime. Rotten crops score nothing. Base values are 10 for strawberries, 12 for lavender, 14 for corn and 17 for pumpkins. A row of all prime crops pays double, each rotten crop takes a quarter off its row, the market crop pays double, each speed level after the first adds 10%, and harvesting rows together adds 25% for each extra row, up to four rows.
How do I finish a season?
Keep the field from filling for five minutes. When the season ends, any rows still ready are harvested together. Scores of 2,000, 6,000 and 10,000 earn one, two and three stars.
