Cat Cafe Drop
Drop, merge, serve. Match cafe items into bigger ones, tap glowing items to fill orders, and keep the pile below the line.
What you do
Cat Cafe Drop is a falling merge game set in a cozy cat cafe, where a glass jar sits on the counter by the window. Matching items merge up three chains of six: round cats from Tiny Kitten to Legendary Purrball, drinks from Coffee Bean to Golden Cafe Special, and treats from Biscuit to Celebration Cake. The items are big, so every drop changes the pile, and the jar fills fast. Customers stop by with orders for mid-sized items, and serving one pays a tip and frees space. The catch is choosing: serve now for tips and room, or keep building toward bigger merges, all while keeping the pile below the dashed line.
- Big, round items with real bounce and roll: drop one on the corner of another to knock it aside. The cats blink, watch your aim and cheer when they merge.
- Rising pressure: treats join after 40 drops, more customers arrive, patience shrinks, and rush hour brings bigger drops.
- Stars for each run and a menu book of every item you have made.
How to play
- Press Play. The item waiting at the top of the jar drops next, and the Next box shows the one after it.
- Aim along the top of the jar and drop. A dashed guide shows where the item will land and turns gold when it will touch a match.
- Two items from the same chain and tier that touch merge into the next tier and score points. Merges within a second of each other build a combo. Two top-tier items of the same chain clear each other for a big bonus.
- Customers appear at the top with an order, a tip, and a patience bar. The items they want glow gold in the jar. Tap a glowing item, or the order card, to serve it: it leaves the jar and you earn the tip. Quick service and a serving streak raise tips.
- Two-item orders fill one item at a time and pay extra. A customer who runs out of patience leaves and resets your serving streak.
- If you wait about four seconds, the item drops by itself where you last aimed, and a ring around it shows the last three seconds. Each item that drops by itself makes the next one drop sooner, so a jar left alone fills up fast.
- A settled item resting above the dashed line starts a countdown of about two seconds. An item still bouncing or rolling past the line does not count until it comes to rest. If the pile is still over the line when the countdown ends, the cafe closes and the run is over.
Controls
- Touch: slide a finger across the jar to aim and lift it to drop. Tap a glowing item or an order card to serve it.
- Mouse: move over the jar to aim and click to drop. Click a glowing item or an order card to serve it.
- Keyboard: Left and Right arrows or A and D aim, Space, Enter, or the Down arrow drops, and 1, 2, or 3 serves that order.
- Toolbar: pause, restart, sound, help, and fullscreen.
Tips worth knowing
- Watch the guide line: when it turns gold, the drop will land on a matching item.
- Serve items sitting high in the jar first. Each one you hand over frees space right where the pile is tallest.
- Orders ask for tier 2 to 4 items, so keeping a spare Latte, Cupcake, or Happy Cat lets you serve the moment a customer arrives.
- Keep big items along one wall so small items have room to find their pairs. The top items are almost half as wide as the jar.
- Early drops are only tier 1 and 2. Make the most of the calm before treats and rush hour arrive.
- Drop before the ring runs out. Items that drop by themselves come faster and faster and usually land in the wrong place.
Accessibility
- Playable with touch, mouse, or keyboard alone: arrows aim, Space drops, and 1 to 3 serve orders.
- Pause from the toolbar at any time; the run and its timers freeze.
- New orders, serves, and the full-jar warning are announced to screen readers.
- The three chains look different (cats, cups on blue saucers, and treats on pink plates), and each item shows its tier as small dots.
- Reduced motion turns off screen shake, squashes and sways, and keeps sparkles small and close to where they start.
Questions
What does the game save?
Your best score and records, the menu book of items you have made, and a lifetime tip jar, all in this browser's local storage. A run in progress is not saved. Best scores from the two earlier versions of Cat Cafe Drop are kept and shown on the title screen as classic bests, because those versions used smaller items and different scoring. Lifetime records such as runs played, orders served and the menu book carry over.
Why are the items bigger than before?
The October 2026 update made every item larger, so the jar fills faster and each merge matters more. A careful run now lasts a few minutes and gets harder as it goes, instead of a long, slow pile-up that was hard to lose.
Does Cat Cafe Drop need an account?
No. It runs in the browser with no account or purchases.
