Garden Putt
Putt softly, score sweetly. Each short garden hole asks one question: follow the mown fairway, or risk the long grass and the ponds for a shorter line. Quick retries, satisfying bounces and a new Daily Garden every day.
What you do
Garden Putt is a sunny mini-golf stroll through 27 handcrafted garden holes plus a seeded Daily Garden round. On each hole, choose between the safe mown fairway and a shortcut through the long grass, bank off rails and mushrooms, time the windmills and bees, and pick up clovers and golden flowers when the detour looks worth it.
- Full Garden of 27 holes, or one nine-hole course: Cottage Green, Pond Path, or Windmill Garden, plus a same-for-everyone Daily Garden.
- Rails, mushrooms, sand, mud, spinning windmills, bees, ducks, hoses, and gnomes.
- Achievements and shareable scores.
How to play
- Choose a round on the title screen: Full Garden, one of the three courses, or Daily Garden, then press Play.
- Press anywhere on the green and pull back, away from where you want the ball to go. The arrow and power bar show the putt.
- Let go to putt. Pull back to where you started to cancel.
- Stay on the light, mown fairway where you can. The darker long grass slows the ball to about a third of its roll.
- A ball that rolls into a pond costs one penalty stroke and drops back at the last dry spot it passed.
- Bank off rails and mushrooms, and time the windmills, bees, and ducks.
- Sink the putt under par for three stars, at par for two, or in any number of strokes for one.
Controls
- Mouse or touch: press anywhere on the course, pull back, then release to putt. The same pull gives the same power on a phone or a desktop screen.
- Keyboard: on the title screen, the up and down arrows choose a round and Enter or Space plays it.
- Keyboard: left and right arrows aim, up and down set power, Shift fine-tunes, and holding then releasing Space putts.
- Keyboard: R restarts the current hole. Between holes, Space or Enter continues and R retries.
- Keyboard: P or Escape pauses. After a round, Space plays again, M returns to the courses, and S copies your score.
- Shared toolbar: pause, restart, mute, help, and fullscreen.
Tips worth knowing
- A putt from the long grass needs about three times the power. Chip back onto the fairway when the cup is far away.
- Cutting a corner through the grass can still pay when the shortcut is short and the fairway bends far around.
- A splash costs a stroke, so a softer putt short of a pond is often the better plan.
- Mushrooms bounce harder than rails.
- Mud slows heavily, but sand can help stop near the cup.
- Clovers are worth 400 points, so a small detour can beat shaving one ordinary stroke.
- Bees and ducks nudge the ball aside, so time your putt for when they are out of the way.
Accessibility
- Pause and restart controls stay close by.
- Instructions and controls are available as page text outside the canvas.
- Aiming shows a visible guide and power bar before each shot, and the power label says when the ball sits in long grass, sand, or mud.
- Pause stops the whole game, including messages and animations.
Questions
How do stars work in Garden Putt?
Each hole gives up to three stars based on your strokes compared with par. Under par gives three stars, par gives two, and finishing gives one. Splash penalties count as strokes. Pars are set from how the holes actually play, so three stars takes a well-planned route.
Does Garden Putt save progress?
