A little bakery, a row of order tickets and all the time you need to think. Plan the day so every customer leaves happy.
What you do
Each bakery day is a small scheduling puzzle. Cookies bake in one step and loaves in three; rolls and croissants proof first, muffins and layer cakes are mixed, and pies and cakes cool on a rack. Twenty-four days add one idea at a time, from a second oven to walk-in customers, a little oven, party orders and a busy festival, and every day has a chef’s best found by checking every possible schedule.
How to play
- Tap a pastry on an order ticket, then tap a free station that fits it. Loading takes no time.
- Press Bake one step to move time forward. Every oven and station works one step at a time, all together.
- Serve each order by the pickup step on its ticket clock to earn its coins. A customer whose order can no longer be ready in time goes home.
- Recipes show their stages: proof in the proof box, mix in the mixer, bake in an oven, cool on the rack. Move proofed dough or mixed batter to an oven yourself; pies and cakes go to the rack by themselves.
- Little ovens fit small pastries only. Some customers walk in later, and party orders pay 2 extra coins only if every pastry is ready.
- One star needs 60% of the chef’s best, two need 80%, and three match it. Undo any move, or press Check to see whether the chef’s best is still possible.
Controls
- Touch or mouse: tap a pastry, then a station. With a mouse you can also drag a pastry onto a station.
- Keyboard: Tab to a pastry or station and press Enter or Space. B bakes one step, U undoes, C checks and Escape opens the day menu.
- Use the shared toolbar for pause, restart, sound, help and fullscreen.
Tips worth knowing
- Read the baking time as well as the pickup step: a loaf due at step 3 has to go in now, a cookie due at 3 can wait.
- A ticket marked Start now must be loaded this step to make its pickup.
- Keep big ovens for loaves, pies and cakes when a little oven can take the cookies and tarts.
- Ready dough keeps its proof slot until you move it, and a baked pie waits in its oven while the rack is full.
- When there is more to bake than time allows, compare coins: one layer cake can be worth more than two small orders.
- Lost the chef’s best? Press Check: it tells you how many moves to undo.
Accessibility
- Labeled HTML buttons for every pastry and station support mouse, touch and keyboard, with keyboard shortcuts for baking, undo and the check.
- Steps, pickup times and coins are written as numbers, and recipe stages have icons as well as colors.
- Animations are reduced when your device asks for reduced motion. Optional sounds use the shared mute control.
Questions
Is there a timer?
No. Time moves only when you press Bake one step, so you can think for as long as you like.
Does it save my progress?
Yes. Your stars, best coins and open days are saved in this browser on this device, with a day list for replays. A day in progress starts over if you leave the page.
What is the chef’s best?
The most coins any schedule can earn that day, found by checking every possible schedule. Matching it earns three stars, and every day can be matched.
Why did a customer go home?
As soon as an order can no longer be ready by its pickup step, the customer leaves and anything of theirs in the kitchen is cleared away. On some days not everyone can be served, so choosing who to serve is part of the puzzle.
